Idella "Dell" Mendoza

Idella "Dell" Mendoza, 80, of Vidor, died Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Vidor. Dell loved to play dominoes, and she especially loved her cat "Missy" , as well as walking in the park. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, there will be a visitation from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Dell is survived by her son Huey P. Hampton Jr. of Beaumont, TX and wife Dee, her daughter Brenda C. Brown of Vidor, TX and husband Kevin, her brother Charles N. Johnson of Vidor, TX and wife Joann, her sister Mary Jo Hale of Vidor, TX and husband Rocky, her two grandchildren Arron Hampton and Derek Hampton, and three great grandchildren Christopher Hampton (currently serving in the U.S. Navy) , Garrett Hampton, and Taylor Hampton. She is preceded in death by her husband George "Peanut" Thomas Mendoza, her parents Andie and Ola Mae Johnson, and her sister Stella Johnson. In lieu of flowers, family will be accepting donations to put towards local charities.
