Ira Herrington, 88, of Orange died Monday, November 8, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Orange, Texas he lived in Vidor before moving to Orange 40 Years ago, and was a retired crane operator with Local # 450. Ira proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was a lifelong member of the V.F.W.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bridge City, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2004, and a Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m., at Memorial Funeral Home. Ira is survived by his loving wife of 25+ years Ruby Roy Herrington of Orange, sons, Robert Herrington of California, Duwaine Herrington of Longview, TX., Byron Herrington of Georgia, and Ernest Gene Walles of Vidor, and 2 daughters, Ira of Arizona, and Barbara of Wyoming, and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
