J.D. Gill

J.D. Gill, 81, of Vidor died Monday, June 6th, 2016 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home. A native of Slagle, Louisiana, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. JD was a member Gateway Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Call, Texas. He was the Maintenance Director for VISD and retired after 31 years in the maintenance department. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home. JD is survived by his wife of 61 years Helen Gill of Call, TX, son Jerrold D. Gill and his wife Cheri of Call, TX, daughters Ellen Kay Schmidtchen and her husband Walt of League City, TX, Charlotte Ann Gill of Call, TX and Angela Gill of Call, TX, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
