James Calvin Rich Sr.

James C. Rich Sr., 73 of Vidor died Monday, July 12th, 2021 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Cortez, Colorado, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. James was a member of River of Life Church in Vidor and was a retired foreman from the Beaumont Enterprise New Paper. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pmThursday, July 15, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 16, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. James was preceded in death by his wife Jo Ann Rich, son James Rich Jr., parents Virgil and Lucille Rich , brothers Kenneth Rich and John Rich. He is survived by his children George Rich and his wife Tracey of Vidor, TX, Mary Bivens and her husband Craig of Vidor, TX, Beverly Renee Starkweather and her husband Paul of Vidor, TX, daughter-in-law Lori Rich, sisters Faye Rich of Lumberton, TX and Mary Bryan of Lufkin, TX, brothers Tyra Rich of Silsbee, TX, Robert Rich of Lumberton, TX, Marvin Rich of Vidor, TX, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
