James Donald Anderson

October 17, 1938 — March 5, 2006

James D. Anderson, 67, of Vidor died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at his residence. A native of Beaumont, TX., and a graduate of French High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was a retired millwright after 25 years of faithful service with Ohmstede Machine Works in Beaumont, TX. He was a charter member of Victory Bible Baptist Church in Vidor, TX. He took great pride in his vegetable and flower gardens and kept an immaculate yard. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with cremation to follow at a later date. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles E and Sarah Anderson, three sisters Ethel Peno, Grace McCormick, and Ann Hill, one brother, Charles E. Anderson, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Wanda Oxley of Vidor, and the mother of his children Connie Anderson of Vidor, daughter Vicki Watson and husband David of Vidor, son Curtis Anderson and wife Lisa of Bridge City, TX., also David and Joey Oxley of Vidor, one brother Carl J. Anderson and wife Nell of Vidor. He was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren: Bryan Watson of Houston, TX.; Heather, Ashley, Brandon, and Blake Watson of Vidor; Bradley of Vidor, Austin, and Tyler Anderson of Bridge City, TX; Bradley Oxley and Sean Moncrief of Vidor, and numerous nieces and nephews. James will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
