James Douglas Quebedeaux

July 18, 1920 — June 17, 2005

James “Jay” Quebedeaux, 84, of Vidor died Friday, June 17, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Port Arthur, TX, he resided in Vidor for 10 years. Jay retired from Arco Polymer and he served his country during WW II in the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. and a Christian Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home. Jay is survived by his wife of 65 years Bettye Quebedeaux of Vidor, TX, sons Jim Quebedeaux and his wife Janet of Nederland, TX, Ricky Quebedeaux and his wife Kathy, Jay Quebedeaux and his wife Cyndi all of Vidor, TX, daughter Cindy Winfrey and husband Dave of Vidor, TX, daughter-in-law Paula Quebedeaux of Bridge City, TX, sisters Mary Lou Gregory and Ivy Dunn both of Port Arthur, TX, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Jay was preceded in death by his son Michael Quebedeaux and one grandson Doug Quebedeaux.
