James "Jim" Franklin Powers

Jim Powers, 74, of Vidor died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at his residence. A native of Marienville, Pennsylvania, he was a longtime resident of Port Neches, TX, before moving to Evadale 5 years ago. Jim retired from Fina Refinery after 20 years as a Electrician. He served his country in the US NAvy and was a member of Central Baptist Church, he was also a member of the Gear Heads in Evadale. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 15, 2016 at Central Baptist Church in Evadale. Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years Linda Powers of Evadale, TX, daughter Paula Primeaux and Troy Fontenot of Port Neches, TX, son Bill Powers and his wife Brandy of Bridge City, TX, 3 grandchildren Clayton Primeaux, Dallas and Breanna Powers.
