James Ottis O'Quinn

James Ottis O’Quinn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and love on March 14, 2024. James was born in Center, Texas on July 1, 1947 to, Wylma Latham and Otis Britain O’Quinn. At an early age James went to live with his Aunt Mary Fay and Uncle Jess O’Quinn in Lufkin, Texas, and from then on they were his parents and family. He graduated from Lufkin High School in 1966, and then entered the Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, Matthew Daniel O’Quinn. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Nelda O’Quinn, daughters, Jules O’Quinn and Jamie O’Quinn, and son, Joshua O’Quinn and wife Kayla O’Quinn, his grandchildren, Gage Acosta, Caden O’Quinn, Justus O’Quinn, Dagan Schwartz, Tessa Erickson, Tristan O’Quinn, Freya O’Quinn, Izzy O’Quinn and his beloved great-grandson, Alastair Acosta.

The family has chosen to honor him with a private celebration of life.
