James "Ron" Tucker

Ron Tucker, 79, of Vidor died Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 at his residence. A native of Port Arthur, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Ron was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Vidor, he held many leadership positions in the Church and was an active member. He was an avid bowler and was active in sports, mainly softball and baseball, he lettered in all high school sports. Ron served his country in the US Navy and was a retired Electronic Technician with Southern Avionics in Beaumont. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, February 19, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Ron is survived by his wife of 60 years Joissine "Jo" Tucker of Vidor, TX, son Anson "Andy" Tucker and his wife Cheryl Blair of Vidor, TX, daughters Danita Fruge and her husband Nick of Port Neches, TX, Donna Garrett and her husband Tom of Montevallo, AL, sister Allie Callahan of Vidor, TX, 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
