James Willie Adams

James W. Adams, 92 of Vidor, TX. passed from this life April 9th at his residence. He was born September 7, 1922 to Arthur and Miram Adams in the Friendship Community. J.W. was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson and 6 siblings. He is survived by his wife Lucille of 73 years, daughters Jettie Young (Monty), Sharron Aycock and son Shannon (Dell) all of Vidor, sister Margaret Andrews of Center, TX. and brother Alton of Normangee, TX., 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was a Deacon in Pine Forest Baptist Church where he faithfully served God. After retiring from Texas Eastern Transmission he enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling, but his favorite hobby was fox/wolf hunting. Visitation is Saturday April 11th, from 6 to 9 at Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Sunday April 12th at 2:00 at Pine Forest Baptist Church. The family wishes to express appreciation to the caregivers, Angel Home Health, and New Century Hospice. In lieu of flowers you may contribute to New Century Hospice or the charity of choice.
