Jerry Marion, 66 of Vidor died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at his residence in Vidor. Jerry was born on December 14, 1942 in Midland, Michigan to Oliver and Isabel Marion. He was a member of Orange County Sheriffs Alumna Association and retired from the US Marine Corps as a MSGT after 22 years of service, Jerry served in the Marine Corps in the Vietnam Conflict for over 2 years. He also retired from the U.S. Post Office after 17 years. Jerry was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor and he served his mission in Camp Legeune, NC. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Jerry is survived by his wife of 45 years Nelwyn Marion of Vidor, TX, sons Jerry J. Marion, Jr of Liberty, MO, Mike S. Marion of Vidor, TX, Oliver E. Marion II of Orange, TX, daughter Sonja M. Doty of Ogden, UT, brothers Ira L. Marion of Tampa, FL, Benjamin Squires of Midland, MI, sisters Cyndi Sanderson of Midland, MI, Beverly Bradley of Auburn, MI, 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Memorial Fuenral Home 1750 Hwy 12, Vidor, Texas

10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints 18 N. FM 105, Vidor, Texas
