Joey Scott Mercer

Joey S. Mercer 57, of Silsbee died Monday, September 30th, 2019 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Delhi, Louisiana, he was a longtime resident of Vidor before moving to Silsbee two years ago. Joey was a member of Rose City Baptist Church and was a Senior General Foreman at Sabine Pass LNG for seven years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Joey was a loving person and was a prankster. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, October 7, 2019 at Rose City Baptist Church. Joey is survived by his wife of 10 years LeeAnn Mercer of Silsbee, TX, sons Zack Mercer of Winnsboro, LA and Daven Castilaw of Vidor, TX, daughters Gracee Mercer of Winnsboro, LA and Reagan Castilaw of Silsbee, TX, parents William "Buck" and Shirley Mercer of Pioneer, LA, brother Rocky Mercer and his wife Lynnette of Waverly, LA, sisters Kay Baggs and her husband Donald of Shreveport, LA, Jan Mercer of Pioneer, LA, father and mother-in-law John and Sue Castilaw of Vidor, TX.
