John Martin Liston

John M. Liston, 83, of Vidor died Friday, July 2, 2010 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Orangefield, he lived in Jasper for 15 years before moving to Vidor 3 years ago. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with graveside services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Springhill Cemetery in Hemphill, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 5, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. John is survived by his wife Betty Liston of Vidor, sons Martin Liston of Orangefield, Clifford Liston of Norman, OK., and Michael Liston of Germany, daughter LaNell Johnson of Brackettville, TX., sister Earline Masters of Beaumont, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
