J.W. Hossley, 87, of Vidor was born January 13, 1917 in St. Martinsville, LA., and passed on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of St. Martinsville, LA., he moved to Port Arthur, TX in 1929, before moving to Vidor 40 years ago. J.W. proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, and was a retired pipefitter from Local # 195 after 50 years of service. Funeral services will be Friday, December 3, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with Pastor Kenneth Woolf officiating, and burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. J.W. is survived by his wife Betty Jean Hossley of Vidor, 3-boys: John Hossley Jr., of Nederland, TX., Bobby Wilson of Houston, TX., and Dwayne Hossley of Martinsville, TX., 5-girls: Sharon Bennett of Mauriceville, TX., Shirley Spittler of Fred, TX., Pam Brady, Donna Stone, and Jackie Leonard all of Vidor, TX., 1-sister: Jeanette Toups of Port Neches, TX., 17-grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
