August 17, 1939 — June 16, 2014

Johnie C. Cryer, 74, of Vidor died Monday, June 16, 2014 at his residence. A native of Anacoco, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Johnie was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Local Union #450 in Mont Belvieu, TX. He was a member of the Tunica Biloxi Indian Tribe of Louisiana and served his country in the US Navy. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00pm Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Johnie is survived by his son Michael Cryer of Crockett, TX, daughter Michele Harrington of Vidor, TX, sisters Doris Williams of Anacoco, LA, Opal Blanco Tampa, FL, Barbara Cryer Baltz of Sugarland, TX, 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
