Joseph Bertis Savoy, Sr

Bertis Savoy, 71, of Beaumont died Friday, December 29, 2006 at Continue Care Hospital in Orange. A native of Church Point, LA, he lived in Beaumont since 1997. Bertis was a retired Welder and was a musician. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006 and 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2006 at the Memorial Funeral Home. Bertis was preceded in death by his son Joseph Bertis Savoy, Jr. He is survived by his wife Judy Savoy of Beaumont, TX, daughter: Gwen Watson of Vidor, TX, step-daughters: Carla Davis of Beaumont, TX, Jamie Janise of Vidor, TX, sister: Dorothy Fertitta of Vidor, TX and his special companion Tuffy. 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
