Joseph 'Joe' M. Rickman

Joe Rickman, 84, of Vidor died Friday, December 10, 2010 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A native of Piggot, AR, he was a longtime resident of Beaumont before moving to Vidor in 1995. Joe was a retired Fitter Welder for Ideco in Beaumont. He served his country in the US Marine Corps during WWII, he continued to be a very proud Marine throughout his life (once a Marine always a Marine). Joe was a member of the VFW Post 4759 in Starks, LA and a member of New Life Tabernacle Church in Beaumont. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at New Life Tabernacle Church in Beaumont, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Starks Community Cemetery in Starks, LA. Visitation will begin at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2010 at New Life Tabernacle Church. Joe is survived by his wife Mildred Rickman, sons Marion Rickman of Beaumont, TX, and Anthony Rickman of Hamburg, AR, daughters Sheila Rickman of Vidor, TX, and Karey Davis Ashcraft of Camden, AR, sisters Edith Johnson of Crossett, AR, and Oledia Mann of Vicksburg, MS, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
