Joy Buck

Joy Buck, 89, passed away at 9:55 a.m. on Wednesday, November 06, 2013, at Colonial Pines Nursing Home in San Augustine, Texas. Born on August 3, 1925, in Melville, LA, she was a longtime resident of Vidor, TX and a member of First Baptist Church. After graduating Thomas Jefferson High School, Mrs. Buck attended Southwestern Bible Institute in Waxahachie. She worked as a secretary for DuPont Sabine River Works for 35 years and was married to Albert Buck for 49 years before he passed in 1997. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Gross Hutchison; two grandchildren, Brittani Joy Gross and Michael Isaac Gross; and son-in-law, Michael Gross. A gathering of family and friends was held from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, TX with a funeral service 10 a.m. on Friday, November 8. Graveside services followed at Campground Cemetery in Woodville, Texas.
