Joyce Edith Mcglothlin

January 6, 1932 — June 22, 2015

Joyce Edith Egulf McGlothlin, 83 died on Monday, June 22nd, 2015. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor. Joyce worked as a pipe welder and retired from Bethlehem Steel and was the first woman to be inducted into the Pipefitters Local 195. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Joyce is survived by 2 sons, Ernest Egulf and wife Karen of Mauriceville, and James Egulf and wife Darlene of Vidor, daughter, Wanda Beth Varden, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Eugene Egulf and Jim Childress. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to be at Restlawn Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank the staff at Altus Cancer Center and Hospice and also to the staff at Oakwood Manor Nursing and Rehab for the love and care shown to Joyce.
