Juanita Saxon

April 5, 1924 — March 16, 2005

Juanita Saxon was born in Humble, TX in 1924 to Columbus Lee and Nora Border. She entered Jeff Davis Nursing Training , after finishing High School in Humble, and worker for a short time in the Houston Shipyards. She voluntarily joined the Army Nurses Corp. And served two years in the occupation Army in the Philippines and Japan. In 1947 she married Charles Saxon, they had three children, Michael Taylor, Suzanne and Sandra, four grandchildren, Stacy , Kelli Suzanne, Charles “Taylor”, Robbi and 4 great-grandchildren. In 1957 she became School Nurse at Vidor Elementary School and severed there until 1983. Upon retirement she and her husband traveled for several years, visiting Alaska, England, Sweden and Russia among others. They also covered points of interest in the United States and Canada. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. In Lieu of Flowers: donation can be made to the Creighton Taylor Gossett Autism Fund at Texas State Bank account #280174631.
