Juanita Stagg Price

April 1, 1932 — April 23, 2010

Juanita Stagg Price, 78, of Vidor, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 23, 2010. She was born in Evergreen, Louisiana on April 1, 1932 to Audrey and Etienne Stagg.
Married to Les Price for 58 loving years, it was evident that they were true soul mates! They loved one another through a love that can only be found through having the Lord as the center of their lives where they built their family on the Solid Rock.
Juanita was an avid biologist who appreciated the beauty of Gods creation through working in her yard and traveling with friends and family. Many family vacations were enjoyed going camping at Sam Rayburn lake as well as to the majestic mountains of the United States and Canada.
Retired from teaching, she was an educator for the Vidor Independent School District for 23 years where she taught Physical Education, Health and Biology. She loved teaching and coaching and always counted it an honor to teach students about the subjects that she was so passionate about.
As a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor, she received Christ as her Savior at the tender age of 6 years old. She used her God-given musical talents and abilities to sing in the Sanctuary Choir and play the banjo, ukelele, dulcimer and violin in the Glory Band in her later years. She loved her church family dearly and looked to worshipping the Lord at every opportunity.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Vidor.
Preceded in death by her parents, Juanita is survived by her husband, Les Price of Vidor, Texas; son, Jim and his wife Jaye of Vidor; daughter Becky Revia and her husband Rick of Vidor; son Alan and his wife Carol of San Antonio, Texas, sister Peggy Smith and her husband Walter and brother, Charles Stagg all of Vidor. She had 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly!
A very special thanks to the staff of Harbor Hospice House; Dr. Ronald Palang and his staff as well as our church families from First Baptist Church and Maplecrest Baptist Church... ALL of you have been a tremendous blessing to us.
