Kathleen Shaw

Kathleen Constance Finch Cryer Shaw, 97, of Vidor, died Friday, March 12th, 2021 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Vidor. She was born December 29th, 1923 in Lowestoft, England. She was delivered by Aunt Alice who was a midwife, married to Kathleen's Uncle William Finch. Her parents were Herbert Walter Andrew Finch and Kate Kathleen Gowning. She served in World War II with her country of England from 1941 to 1946 as a SPT tester for Waafs leading Air Force women. When she was over there she married Earl Milton Cryer in 1945 when she was in the Air Force and then came to America in 1946. Earl and Kathleen ended up going their own ways and she ended up finding her soul mate in Cecil Ordell Shaw in June 25, 1965 who she was married to until he passed. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Ann Cryer Rodriguez of Vidor, TX, sons John Earl Cryer and wife Linda of Lufkin, TX and Michael Dale Cryer and wife Michelle of Castroville, TX, 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren 4 great great grandchildren. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Basil Andrew Finch, Hazel Edna Finch Moore, and Diana Patricia Hadenham Finch Brock.
Connie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.
