Kenneth Raymond Portie

Kenneth R. Portie, 84, of Vidor died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Nederland, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Kenneth was a self employed Auto Mechanic and served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 3, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home. Kenneth was preceded in death by his son Raymond 'The Fonze' Glenn Portie. He is survived by his wife Barbara Bozeman Portie, daughter Karen Jean Henderson and her husband Bob of Magnolia, TX, grandchildren Tony Wayne Watson and his wife Jennifer of Houston, TX, Kristi Rae Henderson of Magnolia, TX and great grandchild Taylor Watson.
