Dolven Simmons, 82, of Vidor died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of DeQuincy, LA., he has lived in Vidor for 27 years, and was a retired Oilfield Hand. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor, TX. He was preceded in death by his son Collins Simmons. He is survived by his sons, Curtis Simmons, Colven Simmons, Calven Simmons, Collis Simmons, Casey Simmons, and Cecil Simmons all of Vidor, daughter Alice Rachford of Vidor, brothers Lee Simmons of Goodsville, TN., Benjamin Simmons and Loyd Simmons both of DeQuincy, LA., and Odis Hoosier of Vidor, thirty-nine grandchildren, and fifty great grandchildren.
