Lane Russell

Samuel Lane Russell, 84 passed away on Saturday, December 27th, 2014 in Jasper, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Vidor and retired in the Beaumont area after 38 years as a merchandiser for Schenley Distillery. Lane was a member of Maplecrest Baptist Church, an avid sports fan and enjoyed coaching youth in Vidor. Lane is survived by his two sons, Danny Russell and wife Debbie of Kirbyville, and Lindsey Russell and wife Jerri of Vidor. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Holly Russell of Beaumont, Danny Russell of Brooklyn, NY, Laura Russell of Houston, Jennifer Russell and Christopher Russell, both of Vidor, and one great grandchild, Chloe Russell of Vidor. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home.
