Larry G. Allen

Larry Gene Allen, age 78, resident of Vidor Navy Veteran, passed away Tuesday, June 27th, 2011, in Beaumont, Texas.He is survived by his loving wife, Reta Joyce Allen, and shared 59 years of marriage. Other survivors include four brothers; Harvey Allen, Darwin Allen, Lennie Allen and Philip Allen; and his 5 children, Connie & Geoff Sloma, Larrene & Warren Stallworth, Stephen & Dayna Allen, Edwin & Sandra Allen and Shane & Stacy Allen, along with 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Larry was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and served in many capacities for decades and was known as the hugging greeter.Larry was a loving person, who never met a stranger. He could be seen talking for countless hours to all that knew him and even some that didnt. He will be missed by many.Viewing services are at Pine Forest Baptist Church, Vidor, Texas on Wednesday, June 29th at 6:00 8:00 PM in the sanctuary. Celebration of Life services will be also be at Pine Forest Baptist Church on June 30th, at 2:00 PM.
