Sunday, March 29, 2009 at her residence. A native of Forest, Louisiana she has lived in Vidor for 47 years, and was a retired sales associate with Walmart. She was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Ola Mae McCaskill and her son Bobby Higgins. She is survived by her sons Ronald Higgins and Mike Higgins, daughters Donna Wilcox, Kathie Prosperie, and Pat Higgins all of Vidor, sisters Alice Wiggins of Kirbyville, Jean Elson of Arlington, and Phyllis Johnson of Vidor, fifteen grandchildren, and twenty-six great grandchildren.
