Lewis E. Norton, 75, of Vidor died Sunday, March 6, 2005 at his residence. A native of Nacogdoches, TX., he has lived in Vidor for 48 years, and was a retired maintenance supervisor with Mobil Chemical after 35 years of faithful service. He proudly served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Vidor, and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at First Baptist Church of Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation will begin 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Lewis is survived by his wife of 48 years Vivian Norton of Vidor, son, Benson Lewis Norton of Huntsville, TX., brothers, Levonne Norton of Magnolia, TX., James Norton of San Augustine, TX., and Odis Norton of Vidor, sisters, Polly Terry of Shelbyville, TX., Carrie Sheldon of Beauxart Gardens, TX., Alice Doggett, and Marie Pixley both of Nacogdoches, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: First Baptist Church of Vidor General Fund, 410 N. Main St., Vidor, TX., 77662.
