Linda Gail Hollis

Linda Gail Hollis, a longtime resident of Vidor, passed away at her home on April 20, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born on November 22, 1947, to Kendrieth and Audie Marshall. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, sister Wanda Gillis, brother Joel Marshall and grandson Blake Guidry.

Linda was a devoted member of the Eastgate United Pentecostal Church and loved spending time with her family and church, which were the most important things in her life. She was survived by her husband, Michael David Hollis of Vidor, TX, and her children: Rhonda Guidry of Vidor, TX, Kelli Friedrich of Houston, TX, and Jason Hollis of Vidor, TX. She also had three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Linda was passionate about education and loved reading, writing, and anything related to educating the youth. She started the Marshall Gill Academy in Vidor, which was a testament to her commitment to education. She also loved children and spent much of her time volunteering in schools and working with youth groups.

Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor on Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Monday, April 24, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, followed by interment at Restlawn Memorial Park.

Linda will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kind and loving spirit.
