Linda Louise Blackmon

Linda Morgan Blackmon, 69, died Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 in Vidor. She was a longtime resident of Vidor. She loved cooking, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and worked as a beautician in Vidor for many years. She was loved by her family and friends and will truly be missed by all. Visitation will be Saturday, May 14th, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. The funeral will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 15th, 2016 and will be held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with internment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years Benny Blackmon, her 2 daughters Tammy Ripka and her husband Alan of Buna, Cheryl Manuel and Kory of Vinton, LA, 1 son Brett Blackmon and wife Denise of Vidor, 9 grandchildren Brandon, Carley, Jessica, Morgan, Jeffery, Cassie, Carissa, Ty, and Carson, 1 brother Alan Ray Morgan, 6 sisters Vivian Linderman, Laverne Horn, Geri Moore, Florence (Coe) Davis, Margaret VanPelt, and Shirley Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin Morgan and Gladys Prewitt Morgan, and sister Jean Smith.
