Linville Burr, 92, of Vidor died on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Linville was born on November 22, 1917 in Vidor, Texas to Thomas C. and Rosa Corbett. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hiram Hale Burr, her sisters Rosalie Wilson, Mary Lee Gibbs, Lillian Post and brothers T.C. Corbett, Cecil Corbett and Harry Corbett. She is survived by sons, Major General USAF (Ret) Hiram Hale Burr Jr. and wife Barbara of Plano, TX, and Jerry Freeman Burr and wife Veronica of Peyton, Colorado, grandchildren Lara Hodges and her husband Robert, Lesa Coker and her husband Brett, Tammy Astley and her husband Dennis, and Penney Hardy and her husband Pat, eleven great-grandchildren Clay and Cade Coker, Chase and Charlie Hodges, Ryan, Alex, Sean and Emily Astley, Evan, Sierra and Lucas Hardy; nieces, nephews, cousins and many beloved friends. She was a resident of Vidor most of her life, she was a homemaker, a longtime member of First Baptist Church and over a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star Vidor Chapter #914. She was the owner of Linville Beauty Salon. Honorary pallbearers are her nephews; Charles Halphen, Lanny Adelmann, Ray Post, Larry Post, Charles Post, George Post and Harry Corbett.
