Lois Owen

Lois Owen, 94, of Orange, TX died Monday, September 24th, 2018 at her home. A native of Wichita Falls, TX she was a longtime resident of Orange. Lois was an avid reader of the Bible everyday and also enjoyed reading Louis L'Amour novels. She was the youngest of seven children and grew up in a pastor's home. She found the Lord at an early age and was a devoted Christian. In her earlier days, she and her husband Tedd pastored and pioneered Assembly of God Churches and also served in various ministries. Lois loved to spend time with her family and was a major influence, even as a great grandmother. She is survived by 1 daughter; Janelle Allen and her husband David of Orange, 1 son; Larry Owen and his wife Kim of Greenacres, WA, 6 grandchildren; Jeremiah Jordan and Lori Rangel of Austin, TX, Nicole Whiting of Greenacres, WA, Jamie Russell and her husband Brandon also of Greenacres, WA, Candice Beers and her husband Bryon of Orange, Aaron Vanover and his wife Christina also of Orange, and Jessica Burris of Ft. Collins, CO. Lois is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; Megan and Jacob Beers, Jesee Vanover, Samantha Burris, Nathan, William, and Matthew Olszewski, Brooke and Austin Whiting, and Jordan and Brody Russell. She was preceded in death by her husband; Tedd Owen, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
