Louie James Kelcher

James Kelcher, 80, of Vidor died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at his residence in Vidor. James was born April 20, 1929 in Orange, Texas and has lived in Vidor since 1977. He was a machinist with Ohmstede machine works for 35 years and served his country in the US Navy. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. James was preceded in death by his wife Darline Kelcher and grandson Darrin Matthew Smith. He is survived by his sons Louie Kelcher, Jr and his wife Mary Lynn of Austin, TX, Danny Garrett and his wife Sheila, Donny Garrett and his wife Jo Ellen, Dicky Garrett and Donna Gail all of Vidor, TX, Dale Garrett of Flowery Branch, GA, daughters Jan Westerterp and her husband Nick of Ivanhoe, Debra Smith and her husband Jimmy of Vidor, TX, 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
