Louis Cecil Whatley

Cecil Whatley, 64, of Vidor died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Beaver Creek, Louisiana he has lived in Vidor for 32 years, and was a safety instructor for AB Builders. Funeral services will be Monday, July 26, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Family Fellowship Baptist Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Cecil is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Jeanette Whatley of Vidor, sons, Cecil Gene “Bubba” Whatley, and Gary Whatley both of Vidor, and Jessie Broussard of Henderson, TX., daughters, Vickie Whatley, Carolyn Hampton, and Deborah Chandler all of Vidor, and Theresa Broussard of Henderson, TX., brothers, Roy Leon “RL” Whatley, and Gerald Whatley both of Vidor, sisters, Shirley Johnson of Nederland, TX., Doris Shifflet of Port Neches, TX., and Gwendolyn Godeaux of Vidor, TX., and eight grandchildren. Cecil was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Alleman.
