Loyd Eul Smith, Sr.

Loyd E. Smith, Sr., 79, of Vidor died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Hilton, OK., he has lived in Vidor since 1941,and was retired from the Operators Local # 450. He was owner operator of Smith Pump and Well in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Loyd was preceded in death by his sons Loyd Smith, Jr., Johnny Smith, and Thimothy D. Morris, parents John and Oma Smith, and sister Thelma Gray. He is survived by his wife Minnie Pearl Smith, sons Billy Wayne Smith, and Terry Smith, daughter Vicki J. Dees all of Vidor, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
