Mary Lamerle Beard Turnage

Mary L. Turnage, 85, of Vidor died Friday, January 21, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Garrison, TX., she has lived in Vidor for 57 years, and was a retired high school english teacher, after 30 years of service, with Vidor Independent School District. Funeral services will be Monday, January 24, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Mary is survived by her sons, Charles Linden Beard of Houston, TX., and Eldon Robert Beard and his wife Laurie of Vidor, brother, Luther Benjamin “LB” Rains of Vidor, and two grandchildren, Ethan Wilson Beard, and Erin Faith Beard.
