Margaret Marie Melancon

Margaret M. Melancon, 78 of Vidor died Monday, April 20, 2020 at Mid Jefferson Hospital in Port Arthur, TX. A native of Beaumont, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor and was a homemaker. She was very active in church and helped organize St. Joseph Alter for 50 years. Margaret was a member of the grievance committee and enjoyed cooking. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Margaret is survived by her husband of 58 years Jerry Melancon of Vidor, TX, Son Tony and his wife Vicki of Keller, Son Mark and his wife Kathleen of Cedar Park, Son Daryl and his wife Cay of Mauriceville. grandchildren Paige Melancon, D.J. Melancon, Kortney Melancon, C.J. Melancon, Brendan Melancon, Samantha Melancon and Justin Melancon , brother Peter James Farnie Jr. of Buna, TX and sister Jo Ann Williams of Rayburn Park, TX.
