Margie Lee Campbell

Margie Lee Campbell, 86, of Orange, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at Oakwood Manor in Vidor. Margie was a beloved member of the Orange community, where she resided for many years.

A faithful member of Eastgate United Pentecostal Church, Margie found solace and joy in her faith. She dedicated herself to her church family, teaching Sunday school in Port Arthur for many years and lending her voice to the choir. Margie's love for her church extended beyond her service; she cherished the fellowship and camaraderie shared with her fellow parishioners.

Margie was a woman of many talents and interests. An avid painter, she expressed her creativity through porcelain, canvas, and ceramic art. She found comfort in quilting, often crafting beautiful pieces that showcased her skill and dedication. Margie had a passion for reading, hunting, and scrapbooking, indulging in these hobbies whenever she had the chance.

Above all else, Margie cherished spending time with her family. She made holidays exceptionally special, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations. Her grandchildren fondly remember her famous banana pudding, a testament to her culinary skills and the love she poured into every dish.

A funeral service to honor Margie's life will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor, followed by interment at Orange Forest Lawn in Orange, TX.

Margie is survived by her sons, Lynn Campbell and wife Kathy of Orange, TX, and Bruce Campbell and wife Susie of Lumberton, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Norma Brannon, and husband Ken of Nederland, TX. Margie's memory lives on through her 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Alvis Cryer, her brother Arvin Cryer, her husband Thomas Ray Campbell, her son Jeffery Glenn Campbell, and granddaughter Kandy Michelle Campbell.

Margie Lee Campbell's legacy of love, faith, and creativity will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in peace, and may her family find comfort in the cherished memories they shared with her.
