Margie N. Boyett, 80, of Vidor, Texas was called home on March 7, 2010 at her residence after a lengthy illness. A native of McClelland Community in Shelby County, she was a life long resident of Vidor and a retiree of K-Mart. Margie was a member of the River Of Life Church of Vidor.Margie loved and served God and was a great prayer warrior. Her life was an inspiration to those who knew her.One of her greatest joys in life was to cook and bake for her many friends. Margie always enjoyed Christmas time with her many lights and decorations. Because of her passion and desire to bless others, she worked tirelessly every Christmas to decorate. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 9th from 6-8 PM and funeral services will be Wednesday, March 10th at 10AM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor located at 1750 Hwy 12 in Vidor. Burial will be at McClelland Community Cemetery in Shelby County off Hwy 147 on Wednesday, March 10th at 2PM. Margie is survived by a brother; Thomas Smith of McClelland Community; sons; Kenneth Boyett of Vidor and Rob Boyett of San Antonio; daughter; Linda Boyett of Vidor; grandson; Cody Boyett of Vidor; great grandchildren; Leland Boyett and Jayden Boyett of Vidor. Thanks to Texas Oncology and Hospice of Texas for their special care. In lieu of flowers, your donations can be made to the River of Life Church(formerly Vidor Assembly) in Vidor or to the Cancer Society.
