Marjorie Holst

December 25, 1918 — April 21, 2007

The gates of Heaven opened and the choir of angels sang “Hallelujah” on April 21, 2007 as they welcomed home our mother, Marjorie “Nana” Holst of Vidor, Texas, as she passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord with her Family at her side at the Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, Texas after a short illness. Majorie was born December 25, 1918 in Beaumont, Texas. Marjorie is survived by 2 daughters: Beverly Boren, Pearland, Texas; Sharon Baker and her husband J.D., Vidor, Texas. One son, Leslie Holst and his wife Sandra, Silsbee, Texas. 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. One sister, Audrey Divono and her husband Frank, Houston, Texas. Numerous niece and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, U.B. Holst, one daughter, Linda Matlock, two brothers, Richard Beaumont and Leslie Beaumont. One grandson, Michael Matlock and 1 Great-Grandson, Matthew Spence. She was a member of Eastgate United Pentecostal Church where she faithfully worshipped her Savior for 30 years. Visitation with family and friend will be on Monday, April 23, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church, Vidor, Texas. Funeral services will be at the Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor, Texas on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. George Gau officiating. Marjorie will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to Harbor Hospice House 4010 College St, Suite 100, Beaumont, Texas 77707 or Eastgate United Pentecostal Church, P.O. Box 424, Vidor, Texas 77670-0424.
