Martha Colwell Simmons

Martha C. Simmons, 83, of Vidor died Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Vidor. A native of Jasper, she was a longtime resident of Vidor, and a retired accountant with The City of Vidor. Martha was a longtime member of Maplecrest Baptist Church in Vidor. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home. Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Marvin Simmons, and her daughter Cheri Peterson. Martha is survived by her grandson Philip Galusha of Lacey, WA., and granddaughter Phillis Jean Sanford of Jacksonville, Florida.
