Martin Keith Sims

Martin Keith Sims, 68, of Broaddus, TX died Tuesday, September 12th, 2017 at his home. A native of Yakima, WA he was a former resident of Lumberton, TX for 28 years and moved to Broaddus in 2004. Martin was a firefighter and worked for the Beaumont Fire Department and retired after 32 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a lifetime member of the 11th Armored Calvary Black Horse and loved NASCAR. Visitation will be Friday, September 15, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A graveside service will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park. Martin is survived by his loving wife Judy Sims of 48 years, 1 daughter; Dianna Eaves of Beaumont and 1 son; Gary Sims and his wife Kristy of Broaddus. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 sister; Nola Crook of Walla Walla, WA. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; Martin and Mary Sims, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
