Marvin 'Gene' Eugene Guidry, Sr

Gene Guidry, 75, of Vidor died Monday, August 15, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, TX, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Gene was a machinist for 45 years and spent most of that time at Ohmstede Machine Shop in Beaumont. He was a member of the American Legion Post 112 and served his country in the US Navy. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Gene was preceded in death by his son Marvin Eugene Guidry Jr and brother Johnny Boy Guidry. He is survived by his wife Gloria Tucker Guidry of Vidor, TX, sons Brian “Mickey” Guidry Sr and his wife Lori, Michael W. Guidry Sr, Mark Guidry and his wife Becky all of Vidor, TX, brother Jerry Guidry of Sour Lake, TX, sister Alice Dewitt of Beaumont, TX, 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
