Mary Magdalene Getts

Mary Getts, 77, of Beaumont, died Monday, September 27, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. Mary was a longtime resident of Vidor, before moving to Beaumont 3 years ago. Mary was a retired clerical worker for Bargain Carpet Warehouse in Beaumont, TX. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 30, 2004 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29. 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Mary is survived by her son, Kenneth Shivers of Vidor, daughters, Gwendolyn Yellott Chesser, Rebecca E. Bordages, and Becky Sellers all of Vidor, brothers, Gene Saulsbury of Fred, TX., Bobby Saulsbury of Kirbyville, TX., and Jerry “PeeWee” Saulsbury of Troy, TX. , ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Floyd and Mary Rosalie Flurry Root, Sr., two husbands: Otis Getts, and Robert Shivers, and seven brothers.
