Mary Virginia Brooks

Mary V. Brooks, 69, of Vidor died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at her residence. A native of Beaumont, TX, she was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Mary was retired from V.I.S.D. and was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, August 22, 2011 at First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:30 pm Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Mary was preceded in death by her husband John Brooks, mother Claudia Walles, and brother J.L. “Rusty” Walles Jr. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Brooks of Austin, TX, father J.L. “Hook” Walles Sr of Silsbee, TX, sisters Eleanor Drake and her husband D, Peggy McNeely and her husband James, Debbie Harmon and her husband Don all of Vidor, TX.
