Mavis Bass

Mavis Earlene Bass, 73, of Vidor, died Sunday, February 14th, 2021 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and member of Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Vidor. She retired from Vidor ISD. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, loved her chickens, and fishing. Visitation for Mavis will be Friday, February 19, 2021 at Cowboy Church of Orange County in Orange from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and her funeral service will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Cowboy Church of Orange County in Orange at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor. She is survived by her son Benjamin and wife Billie Bass of Kirbyville, TX, daughters Leslie McGallion (David Cantor) of Vidor, TX and Lillie and husband Don Rossell of Orange, TX, brother Bobby Lee Anthony of Kirbyville, TX, sisters Edith Schafer of AL, Darlene Justiss of Orange, TX, Charlene Stanley of Orange, TX, Christine Anthony of Trout Creek, TX, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Arsan Bass, daughter Denise Copeland, and son Johnny Arsan Bass.
