Maxine Mayfield

Maxine Mayfield, 85, of Vidor died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Clyde, TX., she has lived in Vidor for 12 years, and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Vidor, where she was a member of the Cathedral Window Quilters. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at First United Methodist Church of Vidor. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Joe Roy Mayfield, Sr, and her grandson Brian Nicholson. She is survived by her son Joe Roy Mayfield, Jr of O'Fallon, MO., daughters Donna Nicholson and husband Bennie of Vidor, Nancy Smith of Houston, brothers Voncile Taylor and wife Markoleta of Chandler, TX., Bobby Lynn Taylor and wife Dixie of Murchison, TX., four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The American Cancer Society, Orange Unit, 755 S. 11th St, Ste 212, Beaumont, Texas 77701, or Cathedral Window Quilters, 500 N. Main St., Vidor, Texas 77662.
