Mellie M. Nagai, 78, of Vidor died Monday, March 29, 2010 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of San Augustine, TX., she has lived in Vidor for 55 years, and was a homemaker. She was a member First United Methodist Church of Vidor, Friends of the Vidor Public Library, First United Methodist Church sewing circle, and The Maplecrest Club of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Mellie was preceded in death by her husband Ken Nagai. She is survived by her daughter Gayle Nagai of Vidor, nephew Reece Nagai and wife Rhonda of Richmond, TX., and three great nephews: Ethan Nagai, Tyler Nagai, and Logan Nagai.
