Melvin Ray Block

Melvin R. Block, 69, of Vidor died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at his residence in Vidor. A native of Beaumont, TX, he resided in Vidor for 66 years. Melvin was a retired water well driller and owner of BB Water Systems. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m Friday, January 14, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home. Melvin is survived by his wife of 49 years: Lelia Block of Vidor, TX, sons: Melvin H. Block and Kevin D. Block both of Vidor, TX, daughters: Beverly Croft and Sherry Block both of Vidor, TX, brothers: Rodney Block of Vidor, TX, Ronald “Red” Block of Beaumont, TX, sister: Dorothy Petrucci of Vidor, TX, grandchildren: Jami Croft and Amanda Croft, great-grandchild: Taylor Grace Croft.
