Merlene Carter

Merlene Carter, 72, of Vidor died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at her residence. Merlene was born on April 12, 1937 in Starks, Louisiana to Jerry and Mittie Perkins. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Vidor. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Merlene is survived by her husband John Carter of Vidor, TX, son Shelton Kendall of Vidor, TX, daughter Joyce Ann Hale of Lumberton, TX, brother Dewey Perkins of Vidor, TX, sisters Mildred Hoosier of Vidor, TX, and Anabelle Walls of Leesville, LA, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
